Books denied to 600,000

The headline article in the TES today talks of 'swingeing cuts to School Library Services.'
I consider my school lucky as here in Islington we benefit from the support of a fantastic School Library Service, whose services range from organising our network of School Librarians to supplying us with an extensive range of artefacts, costumes and books. The  meeting for School Librarians is invaluable to me, from when I was new to the profession to now when I have an excellent network  of professional librarians to exchange ideas and practice with.
