The Bookaholics

The Booka holics Reading Group meet in the LRC once a week, where we read and discuss books together. We are currently very fortunate in being able to read a preview copy of 'Lia's Guide to Winning the lottery' by Keren David. The book is not out until August, but as the reading group are great fans of Keren and her work (more on that to follow!) she was kind enough to arrange for her publisher, Frances Lincoln, to send us two copies to proof read. Nasra, one of our group, by coincidence, also happened to win a copy from a Facebook competition run by Keren, so we have three copies to read aloud from. The book  tells the story of Lia, who wins 8 million on the Lottery at the age of 16. It is very funny, and a 'bit rude' according to some of the group, who are all in Year 8.
